Liberty & the Fiddle: a 45-minute concert of Scottish and colonial fiddle music tracing Patrick Henry from his Scottish roots to the speech he gave at St. John's Church at the Second Virginia Convention in March 1775. Henry was a fiddler, and playing by ear may have shaped how he spoke without notes: from the heart, not the page. Performed by Scottish fiddler Colin MacLeod, from Argyll.
