April 19, 2018 (Richmond, VA). On the 243rd anniversary of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, the first engagements of the American Revolution, 72 people from 39 countries become American citizens at Historic St. John's Church.
Co-sponsored by St. John’s Church Foundation and the Commonwealth Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the ceremony was attended by none other than Delegate Patrick Henry, whose "Liberty or Death" speech on March 23, 1775 at St. John's ignited the fire of revolution in the hearts and minds of his countrymen. What a proud day it was for all of us who had the privilege to witness this moving ceremony.
