Preserve this National Historic Landmark for future generations.

Every inch of St. John's Church has a story to tell.  With over 277 years of history contained within the surrounding brick walls, every inch has something valuable to teach us.  Your support keeps St. John's standing strong so we can continue to tell its profound story, from its beginning as an Anglican Church and seat of Henrico Parish, c. 1611, to the meeting place where in 1775 a young Patrick Henry rallied fellow Virginians George Washington and Thomas Jefferson to fight for Liberty, to its current position at the top of historic Church Hill, a serene and sacred space for visitors to engage deeply with the founding story of our nation.  We count on you to preserve this history.

We receive NO federal, state, local or church funding to support our mission.  We rely on donations from people like you, visitors from all over Virginia, the nation, and the world.  You've kept us standing for 277 years. Can we count on you now?
